Invisible spelling!!

In Week 3, we decided to practice our spelling words with one special twist, we would make them invisible!  We used lemon juice as ink and a skewer as a pen to write our words - when the lemon juice had dried, the words were almost invisible.

Many parents were fooled!!!  The plan was to warm the paper in the oven until the words appeared. The places on the page where there was lemon juice turned brown.  When it was cooked, you could read the words easily.  We went up to the staffroom to use the staff oven for those spelling lists that were still invisible. We found leaving the page in the oven for two lots of one minute did the trick.
Then NO ONE had any excuse not to learn their words!
Hugo's spelling words are revealed!  He said that his Mum put his list in the oven three times.
