We have been learning about New Zealand native birds. An important aspect about birds is that their beaks are adapted to the food they eat. For instance, the tui has a beak that let him suck nectar, and a falcon has a beak that can tear meat. Our challenge was to match the bird name with the correct beak, talons and food, and present our work neatly in our theme books. We used a bubble map to display our work. Most people looked online to find bird pictures to copy, but some people used the photos in the Bird Match game.
