Cockle Bay School has bought some new microscopes, and we are lucky enough to have two that we can use in Room 2. We have been pulling wings and legs off dead insects, and petals and stamens off flowers to see what we can see under magnification. We also have prepared slides that Mrs Petterson brought us from Landcare Research on her scientist visit. No-one likes the smell of the yeast colonies though, except Mrs Bear. It smells like very strong bread!
